  • Q1. How long will the 4 AA Batteries last in the Battery Pack?
You can expect good batteries to last up to 4 hours.  Do use the ‘on/off” switch on the battery pack when repositioning Rail Cam for new and different views. You can also use the AC Adaptor that is furnished with the battery pack to conserve the batteries when walking around and taking arial shoots, or any shoots taken from the parameter of your layout.

Q2. Does the camera lens only look straight forward?

No, you can also adjust the swivel neck lens to also look 90 degrees left or right, as well as 45 degrees up or down for your needs.

Q3. How far will the wireless transmitter on the flatcar transmit to the audio/video receiver?

Up to 100 feet away from where the flatcar is. Keep in mind you can also add an additional 25, 50 or 100 feet between the receiver and your VCR, TV or your computer by using any long RCA jacks that you would purchase at stores like Radio Shack, or Best Buy.

Q4. Can I expect any obstructions when transmitting from the Flat Car to the Receiver?

None. The Xcam2 has a POWERFUL 2.4 GHz video signal unlike the older 900 MHz technology.  The best part about this New 2.4 GHz technology is that it creates a circular polarization signal to provide re-transmission of video signals throughout your home UNOBSTRUCTED by WALLS, CEILINGS, FURNITURE, or FLOORS!
